Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF)
The U.S. government requires that all cargo—whether moving on passenger, freighter, or charter aircraft—be screened at the individual piece level prior to loading to ensure aviation safety and security. Count on ACH to handle this process with efficiency and reliability.

The TSA established the Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (CCSF) program to enhance the speed and efficiency of a critical security component within the global supply chain.
CCSF builds on the TSA’s Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP), which requires the screening of all cargo moving through airports. Learn more at TSA.gov.

The TSA requires all certified cargo screening facilities—including ACH’s JFK location—to implement TSA-approved security programs and maintain strict chain of custody protocols from screening through to aircraft loading.
Under the CCSP/CCSF programs, facilities must ensure cargo integrity, allow for onsite validations and inspections, and screen shipments at the individual item level rather than by pallets. Eligible facilities include manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centers, third-party logistics providers, indirect air carriers, airport cargo handlers, and independent screening facilities.
TSA security inspectors oversee the certification process, with more than 500 cargo inspectors ensuring compliance for all cargo transported on flights originating in the U.S.

When needed, an AIT TSA-certified cargo screening facility can offer Explosive Trace Detection (ETD), physical inspections, and TSA canine screenings.
